Star level testing
Synchronized swimming stars and tiers are levels of difficulty learned and earned by recreational and competitive synchronized swimmers respectively. Orca Synchro performs Star testing once a term at the coaches' discretion.
The Synchro Alberta website explains the different levels and tiers.
Attendance
- Synchronized swimming is a team sport, so attendance is very important. Team members are relying on you to attend every practice.
- Please contact 428-ORCA (6722) if you are unable to attend a practice.
- If you are not too sick, come to the practice and observe it on deck.
- If you do not attend a practice and did not let your coach or the head coach know, a coach will contact you.
- Being on time is important too!
Watershows
Christmas shows
- Held at Scona Pool.
- Please have your swimmers there at the usual 6:30pm. The show will begin at 7pm and will last approx. 45min.
- Please bring lawn chairs as there will not be any bleachers on the pool deck this year and remember it is very warm in the pool area so dress appropriately.
- For those of you who are family swim members you may swim after the watershow until 8:30pm.
- We will be having refreshments in the party room after the show so please join us for some Christmas cheer!!

There will also be duets and a solo performance by Orca swimmers. The Orca coaches are also to be performing a routine.
Exciting Change!
New for this Water Show, the club will once again be providing seating at poolside. Rental chairs will be set up around the pool prior to the performance and will be closer to the main pool area to allow for better viewing of the routines.
The
club will be videotaping the show and pictures will be taken by a professional
photographer.
New Watershow Hair and Goggle Policy
Going forward, for the watershows, swimmers will have their hair up in gelatin and will swim without goggles. Exceptions to this policy will be made at the head coachs discretion. All of our Synchro Stars Teams will also be performing without their goggles this year!
In order to comply with the new policy all swimmers are expected to arrive at the pool with their hair up in gelatin by 6:30 pm for the spring watershow on May 19th.
