To sign up for both a regular program and Cross-training Mondays, you must register and pay twice, once for the program -- SynchroKids, SynchroStars, Seasoned Synchro, or SynchroMoms -- and once for Cross-training Mondays.

A. Register online:

1. Fill in the registration form below.
(This form works best with Microsoft Explorer, but you're welcome to try it with other browsers.)
2. Complete the personal information form.
3. Print the Synchro Alberta Participant's Agreement* (for swimmers under 18 years) or Waiver (for swimmers 18 years or older) insurance form. Complete the form and bring it to the first practice. This form must be signed before the swimmer can enter the pool.
4. Click on the Register button to e-mail the registration information to the Orca Synchro registrar.
The information that is provided on the form will be transmitted to the registrar by e-mail. Because e-mail is not secure, you will be asked for your address and the swimmer's date of birth on the PayPal site, which is secure. If you still have security concerns, please register by phone.
5. Pay the registration fee via credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express) or PayPal.

B. Register by phone:

1. Call the registration line at 780 428-ORCA (780 428-6722). As well as answering any questions, the registrar will request the registration information.
2. At the first practice complete the personal information consent form.
3. Go to step 3 below to print the Synchro Alberta Participant's Agreement* (for swimmers under 18 years) or Waiver (for swimmers 18 years or older) insurance form. Complete the form and bring it to the first practice. This form must be signed before the swimmer can enter the pool.
4. Either use step 5 below to pay the registration fee or mail a cheque payable to Orca Synchro to

Once we receive payment, your space will be reserved.

Refund policy

This policy applies to the September and January installments separately.
• Withdrawals up to two weeks before classes start receive a full refund.
• Withdrawals up to the third practice receive a 50% refund, but there is a minimum $50 administration fee.
• Once the third practice starts, there will be no refund.
Note that you must withdraw, not just stop attending. To withdraw, notify the registrar at 780 428-ORCA (780 428-6722) or registrar@orcasynchro.org.

Personal information consent form I understand that the Orca Synchronized Swimming Club collects personal information about each of its registrants, including name, address, email, telephone number, sex, age, and date of birth. This information is used for the purposes of communications from the Orca Synchronized Swimming Club and in determining demographics and market trends. The information is also used by and disclosed to Sport Canada, Synchro Canada, and Synchro Alberta for annual demographic reporting, registration, determining age group, and to communicate with participants about synchronized swimming programs, events, and activities. I understand that the Orca Synchronized Swimming Club, Synchro Alberta, and Synchro Canada have the right to take photographs, videotape, or digital recordings of club members and to use these in any and all media. I am aware that by giving this consent, I am permitting my/my child's name to be posted on the Orca Synchronized Swimming Club, Synchro Canada, and Synchro Alberta website and publications, which can be viewed by anyone who has access to these websites or publications. Synchro Alberta Participant's Agreement or Waiver For swimmers under 18 years old click here to download a Word document of the Synchro Alberta Participant's Agreement insurance form. For swimmers 18 years or older click here to download a Word document of the Synchro Alberta Waiver insurance form. Print the form, complete it, and bring it to the first practice. It must be signed before the swimmer can enter the pool. Note: Even if you have registered and paid the fees, until we receive a completed participant's agreement or waiver, we WILL NOT LET THE SWIMMER ENTER THE POOL. The participant's agreement or waiver is required for insurance and liability purposes. 4. Click on "Register" First, print this completed registration form for your future reference. Then, click on "Register" to e-mail your registration information to the Orca Synchro registrar. • You may receive alerts that an e-mail is being sent on your behalf. Please approve these alerts to send the message. • If an e-mail application opens and presents you with a mostly empty message to registrar@orcasynchro.org, this online registration form does not work with your browser. Please register by phone. You may still pay by credit card by using step 5. 5. Payment Please select below. • Until the end of March, club members can guarantee a space for the fall by registering and paying a deposit of $60. • If your fee amount doesn't appear below, select the bottom option, "Pay some other amount." Click on a Pay Now* button to go to PayPal's secure website to pay by PayPal or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express). Orca Synchro will not receive your credit card information from PayPal. You do not need to create a PayPal account, nor do you need to sign in to your PayPal account if you have one. Instead, under "Don't have a PayPal account?" click Continue. If you have problems with PayPal, please contact them at the PayPal complaint web page or by phone at 1-402-935-2080 (not toll-free). We request shipping information to collect your address via the secure PayPal website. As well, for children, on the PayPal web page titled Review Your Payment click the plus sign beside "Swimmer's name and birthdate" to provide the child's name and birthdate to create an official receipt for income tax purposes. (If you forget, print the child's name and birthdate on the receipt and bring it to the treasurer to be signed.) When you're done at PayPal, this portion of your registration is complete. Payment transaction details will be e-mailed to you by PayPal, and the transaction will appear on your credit card statement as PAYPAL *ORCASYNCHRO. Retain the receipt PayPal e-mails you for the federal children's fitness tax credit for children under 16.

Summer camp 2008 Casino shift credits and fractional fees do not apply to summer camp registration fees. Orca Synchro summer camp is not eligible for the federal children's fitness tax credit because it is less than five days long.

For returning swimmers the fee for September 2008 to March 2009 is twice the amount paid in January 2008. The date when fractional fees apply has changed from January of the year to September, so the fees remain the same until September 2009.

If you're unsure of the fee, either contact the treasurer at treasurer@orcasynchro.org or start by paying a deposit of $60 to hold a space.

Cross-training Mondays Fractional fees apply to Cross-training Mondays, and casino shift credits apply only after they have been applied to a swimmer's synchro program fee. Cross-training Mondays are eligible for the children's fitness tax credit for children under 16. Add the child's name and date of birth on the PayPal page as described above to generate a receipt.
