Amanda has been the Head Coach of Orca Synchro for the last 5 years. She is returning from maternity leave after having her 4th child. She has been coaching for almost 15 years at various clubs in Edmonton and Alberta. She loves seeing the swimmers and coaches work hard towards a goal and succeed. Her focus has been on making the Orca club into a family. She is eager to see all the swimmers back in the pool and is looking forward to meeting all the swimmers and their families.
Cass is a long-standing member of Orca – swimmer for 7 years and entering her 5th year coaching. She loves the club and everything it stands for; supporting athletes in their sport while keeping it fun and non-competitive. She also studies Anthropology at the U of A.
Anika has been with Orca as a swimmer for 7 years and this season will be her 6th year coaching. Her favourite part of Synchronized swimming is how a community can inspire young athletes to grow their skills and self-esteem while building life-long friendships along the way. She is also completing her undergrad in paleontology at the U of A.
Annaleise swam competitively for 5 years and this is her third year of coaching with Orca. She brings her love and passion for the sport to every practice with her team.
Lauren swam with Orca for 8 years and this will be her third year of coaching. She is passionate about the sport and excited for the opportunity to share that love with others. In her free time, she also lifeguards and teaches swim lessons at the YMCA and works at the Cactus Club.
Sophie has been a part of the Orca family for 8 years and coaching for 2 years. She loves coming up with creative choreography and sharing her knowledge with others. She is also studying in the Faculty of Arts at the U of A.
This will be Jen’s second year coaching with Orca. She loves bringing fun to artistic swimming and enriching the experience for the athletes. She is super excited to welcome a new swim season.
Sierra has swum for 6 years and this will be her second year coaching. She loves coaching and the atmosphere of the club. She is excited to start a new year and challenge herself.
Gabby swam with Orca for 8 years and this will be her second year coaching. She loves working with kids and making a fun and creative routine. She hopes that the swimmers love artistic swimming as much as she does.
